A-GRASS 2025: Day 5 – A Memorable Day with My Wife at the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam

A Glimpse into the Tunnels’ History (Cu Chi Tunnels)

On our last day in Vietnam, my wife and I set out for an unforgettable adventure to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an iconic site filled with history, learning, and unique experiences.

As we walked through the historical park, we stopped at an outdoor display showing the fascinating underground tunnel system. The model illustrated how the tunnels were constructed and used for hiding, living, and even fighting during the war. Seeing this up close gave us a better appreciation of the ingenuity and resilience of the Vietnamese people.

Visiting the Cu Chi War Remnants Museum

Inside the museum, we came across a striking collection of artillery shells and military remnants from the war era. The carefully preserved displays provided an eye-opening look at the massive scale of the conflict. It was a moving reminder of the hardships and courage that defined this period of Vietnam’s history.

Exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels was both a powerful and personal journey for us as a couple. We not only learned about history but also made lasting memories as we walked, listened, and experienced something new together. This day reminded us of the value of discovery and the importance of sharing travel experiences with those we love.
