A-GRASS 2025: Day 5 – A Culinary Adventure in the Mekong Delta With My Wife
Boarding at the Pier
We soon made our way to the pier, greeted by a welcoming sign as we joined other guests getting ready for the boat ride. The gentle hustle of people—some chatting, others snapping photos—added to the sense of adventure. Boats lined the riverbank, ready to take us across the famous waters of the Mekong. There was a buzz of excitement as we prepared for the journey ahead.
Experiencing the Coconut Industry
One of the memorable stops along the way was a local coconut processing spot. Here, we saw firsthand how coconuts are prepared, shredded, and processed. The machinery, with piles of coconut husks and a fresh batch of coconut meat being grated, showed us the hands-on side of daily work in the Delta. Seeing the local industry in action gave us a deeper respect for the people who live and work along the river.
A Vietnamese Feast and A Culinary Adventure
This day trip through the Mekong Delta let us experience Vietnam’s beautiful countryside, generous cuisine, and the warmth of its people—together. From enjoying a big Vietnamese meal to discovering local industries, it was an adventure filled with discovery, flavor, and laughter. Traveling these vibrant places with my wife by my side made every stop even more memorable.
