A-GRASS 2025: Day 5 – A Memorable Saigon Night Tour With My Wife

Our evening started with a ride on a bright pink double-decker bus, cruising through the lively streets of Saigon. Surrounded by glowing city lights, futuristic buildings, and the hustle of scooters and cars, we took in the electric atmosphere from the open top deck. The colorful bridge and illuminated skyscrapers added a modern charm to the cityscape, and riding side by side made it even more memorable.

Captivated by Saigon’s Landmarks
During the bus tour, we were treated to the stunning sight of the brightly lit Thu Thiem 2 Bridge, its bold red cables reflecting in the river below. The distant Landmark 81 skyscraper glowed purple in the skyline—a striking contrast with the quiet shimmer on the water. This view was another reminder of Saigon’s blend of modernity and tradition, and sharing it together made the night unforgettable.
A Taste of Japan in Saigon
After our sightseeing adventure, we decided to treat ourselves to a cozy dinner at Sukiya, a popular Japanese restaurant. The comforting aroma of simmered beef and the promise of a hearty gyudon meal made it a perfect spot to recharge. Sitting together, with a bright menu in hand, we enjoyed a warm, filling meal that blended a bit of Japanese flavor into our Vietnamese journey.

Cherishing the Experience

From cruising atop a bustling city, to enjoying international cuisine and marveling at Saigon’s landmarks, every moment became more special because we experienced it together. Exploring Saigon at night with my wife was not just about seeing new places, but about creating memories we’ll carry home and cherish for years to come.
